the adam and gansey mutual derangement is incredible. adam terrified of being owned by gansey in the raven boys. "fuck you, gansey. fuck you." gansey terrified he's losing adam in the dream thieves. so estranged by their contexts and alien to one another that every time they talk, they accidentally hurt the other — but unwilling to let go anyways. adam realizing he doesn't want gansey's hope to be broken-in by the world. gansey finally understanding adam in the raven king. you just had to be there.

yeah so chapter 55 of the raven king has destroyed me. mind. body. and. soul.

yeah like it can suck to put a wip up on the shelf for a bit and not know when or if you’ll come back to it but what they don’t tell you enough is that if you do pick it back up again (which you don’t have to do) it will still be there like it always was and it’ll be happy to see you again!!! and sometimes your growth as an artist will find its way to this old art of yours and they will hold hands and all the excitement will be back again
